CLASS OFFERING
Our instructors guide students through proper hand positioning, chord shapes, strumming and fingerpicking patterns, music reading, and improvisation. We work with each student’s musical interests — whether that means folk, worship, country, fingerstyle, or classic rock. Every lesson is personalized, progress is consistent, and learning guitar at Premier is genuinely fun from day one.
WHAT TO EXPECT
In your first lesson, your instructor will get to know your goals, assess your current level, and introduce the fundamentals: how to hold the guitar comfortably, proper left and right hand technique, your first chords, and how to start building calluses for pain-free playing.
Over the first few weeks, you’ll learn to transition between open chords, develop your strumming rhythm, and play your first full songs. For younger students, lessons focus on building strength, coordination, and enthusiasm. For older students and adults, progress often comes faster — many are playing songs they love within the first month.
As skills develop, your instructor will introduce barre chords, scales, music theory, chord inversions, fingerpicking patterns, and style-specific techniques. Students interested in performance will work toward recitals. Students focused on songwriting will explore chord progressions and creative applications.

STYLES & GENRES OFFERED
Our guitar instructors are working musicians with expertise across multiple styles. We tailor the curriculum to what excites
each student — because students who love what they’re playing practice more, progress faster, and stick with it longer.
LESSONS & SCHEDULING
Our guitar lessons are available in 30, 45, and 60-minute formats — designed to fit the age, experience level, and goals of each student. Most beginners start with 30-minute sessions and progress to longer lessons as their skills develop. We recommend 60-minute lessons for intermediate and advanced students working toward performance or audition goals.
We’re open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at both our North Lakewood Ranch and East Bradenton locations. Flexible rescheduling and a friendly enrollment process make it easy to get started and keep going.
What Our Students
& Families Are Saying
“My 9-year-old started guitar lessons here three months ago and already played a song at the family holiday gathering. His instructor made all the difference — so patient and encouraging.”
“I tried to learn guitar on my own for years and never got anywhere. Premier’s instructor figured out exactly what I was doing wrong in the first lesson. Within two months I was actually playing.”
ENROLL TODAY
Most children are ready to begin guitar around age 6-7 when their hands are large enough to form basic chords comfortably. For younger children, ukulele is a wonderful starting point that builds the same fundamental skills.
We recommend having a guitar at home for daily practice, but you don’t need one before your first lesson. We can advise you on what size and type of guitar is right for your age and goals before you purchase anything.
Acoustic lessons focus on chord-based playing, fingerpicking, and strumming technique — ideal for pop, folk, country, worship, and singer-songwriter styles. Electric guitar lessons go deeper into amplifier tone, distortion, soloing, and rock or blues techniques. We offer both.
Most students play their first full song within 3-5 lessons. We prioritize learning real music early — playing something you actually recognize is the best motivator for keeping up with practice at home.
Absolutely. Many of our adult students start from zero and make rapid progress because adult learners are motivated, focused, and clear about their goals. It is genuinely never too late to start.
